It has a very good plot and a lot of characters. I couldn't find one wrong thing with this movie. It was fun.

Characters were good, except for the kid in the desert. The cropduster's son. Kid can't act to save his life.

But, let's get to brass tacks.

1) A ship that size, coming from light speed or close to it, slowing down to that speed near the moon, would knock it out of its orbit.

2) A ship as large as the ones over the cities would need some form of energy to stay above the cities, and that energy would crush and kill everyone below.

3) The Aliens are telepathic, yet when the two guys go to the Mother Ship to upload the virus, the Alien cannot sense them?

Chew on that.
